NCHM Announces Shea Mathews as Co-President

The Board of Directors of National Custom Hollow Metal (NCHM) is pleased to announce the appointment of Shea Mathews as CO-PRESIDENT. Shea started his career in 2007 as Vice President at NCHM coincident with the Mathews Family purchase of 100% of the stock in the company. Shea also served for several years as President of a sister company Maple Leaf Awning and Canvas returning to NCHM and serving as Vice President Human Resources and Administration for the last 3 years. This promotion to CO-PRESIDENT is in recognition of Shea’s continued growth in the business and is timed with the similar announcement of Evan Mathews as CO-PRESIDENT as well as the announced retirement of current President; Chris Mathews, effective September 1, 2021.

The Board of Directors of National Custom Hollow Metal (NCHM) is pleased to announce the appointment of Evan Mathews as CO-PRESIDENT. Evan started his career in 2007 as Vice President coincident with the Mathews Family purchase of 100% of the stock in the company. Evan has served as Vice President Operations for 14 years the last 3 years adding the role of General Manager. This promotion to CO-PRESIDENT is in recognition of Evans continued growth in the business and is timed with the similar announcement of Shea Mathews as CO-PRESIDENT and the announced retirement of current President Chris Mathews effective September 1, 2021.

To our partners in the hollow metal industry we share with you that Chris Mathews will retire as President of National Custom Hollow Metal as of September 1, 2021.

The Mathews family is in their 15th year owning and operating National and Chris and Christine’s sons Evan and Shea have walked and been challenged since the first day the family purchased NCHM in June of 2007. “It is now time to give Evan and Shea, with the leadership team, the reins to take the business in new directions in line with the changing times.” said Chris Mathews. He went on to add “There remains a few more adventures on my bucket list; Doors and Frames have now been checked off that list.”
