Tourists visiting coastal areas often wonder what it would be like to live there all year long, but there are certain times of year when the locals anxiously watch the weather forecasts and wonder if they’re in store for yet another natural disaster. There’s nothing we can do to stop tropical storms and hurricanes, but we can definitely take a few precautions to protect our structures and the people who live and work in them!

National Custom Hollow Metal is the nation’s leading supplier of custom-built stainless steel doors and frames, and we’re ready to give you a quote in two hours or less! Windstorm Hurricane Doors and frames meet the requirements of both the Florida Building Code (FBC-2014 FL#14584) and the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) for stainless steel and galvanneal doors and frames, and we offer industry-leading turnaround times on all orders.

Windstorm hurricane doors are the ideal choice for commercial exterior entrances in coastal communities up to 50 miles inland, and are manufactured to your exact specifications. They’re constructed from continuously welded sheets of 16-gauge galvanneal or stainless steel, with top- and bottom-spot-welded channels, and can be installed in masonry or wood stud walls with 3/8“ x 5” lag bolts. Be sure to also let us know your labeling requirements when you call for your same-day quote. Windstorm doors meet the requirements for Wind Zone 4 and 150 mph wind speed (including large missile impact), and we also offer Warnock Hersey fire labeling for up to 3 hours on seamlessly constructed galvanneal doors. We can manufacture your doors in your choice of 3’0” x 7’0” single-door opaque steel outswing steel flush doors or 6’0” x 7’0” opaque steel double doors with a label rating of +/- 70 psf.
