1 They are constructed with face sheets of 12, 14 or 16-gauge type 304 or 316 in No.3, 4, or 2b mill finish stainless steel. Doors have stainless steel vertical reinforcing channels running the full height on both hinge and lock stiles. Standard construction has seam-welded edges and all reinforcement welds are ground and polished to maintain a smooth finish. NCHM stainless steel doors are available in standard and custom sizes.

2 Doors are mortised and reinforced for hardware. Mortised hardware and reinforcements are drilled and tapped at the factory. Reinforcements for surface-applied hardware are drilled and tapped in the field by the contractor. All reinforcing components are fabricated from stainless steel.

3 Polystyrene, honeycomb, and vertically stiffened life safety rated fire or hurricane door cores are available.

4 To prevent rusting in highly corrosive areas, we developed a Rust Prohibitive Door made from stainless steel. We construct it like our standard stainless door but with mill finish and then cover it with our rust-inhibiting primer.
