Trustshield doors can be built to order with 16, 14, or 12 gauge galvanneal or 16, 14, or 12 gauge stainless steel construction in sizes ranging from 4′ 10 1/2″ x 12’0″ with 1/16″ lead reinforcement and 4’10’/2″ x 8’0″ with 1/8″ lead reinforcement. The doors are reinforced with a continuous sheet of lead from 1/32″ thick up to 1/8″ thick laminated to the door skin and a sheet of high-density polystyrene. The door cavity is insulated with energy-efficient polystyrene and/or reinforced with steel stiffeners and up to 1-1/2 hour Warnock-Hersey fire resistance labeling. The lead sheet extends the full width and height of the door, and the thickness of the lead shielding should be equal to that of the adjacent wall.

In addition to offering industry-leading protection from harmful gamma radiation, TrustShield doors are also corrosion-resistant and maintenance-free. The only thing you’ll ever have to do to maintain their factory-new appearance is occasionally wipe them down with water.
