Windstorm doors and frames are engineered to help distributors meet all regional building codes and labeling requirements for commercial exterior entrances, including Florida Building Code (FBC-2014 FL#14584) and Texas Department of Insurance (TDI-DR-495) specifications for both stainless steel and galvanneal doors and frames. Windstorm hurricane doors have passed 70 psf (asd), and meet all the requirements for 150 mph wind speed, including large missile impact. They’re rated for wind zone 4, and they’re most ideal for coastal communities up to 50 miles inland.

We can custom-build Windstorm doors in 16 gauge steel galvanneal or stainless steel with UL labeling. You’ll have the choice of 3’0” x 7’0” single-door opaque steel outswing steel flush doors or 6’0” x 7’0” opaque steel double doors with a label rating of +/- 70 psf and 7 GA Hinge reinforcement. The doors are constructed from continuous welded sheets with top and bottom spot-welded channels and can be installed into masonry or wood stud walls using 3/8” x 5” lag bolts.
