Windstorm hurricane doors and frames meet the requirements for both Florida Building Code (FBC-2014 FL#14584) and Texas Department of Insurance (TDI-DR-495) Specifications for both stainless steel and galvanneal doors and frames. Our hurricane doors have passed 70 psf (asd), and meet all the requirements for 150 mph wind speed, including large missile impact. They’re rated for wind zone 4, and they’re ideal for coastal communities up to 50 miles inland.

Windstorm doors and frames are corrosion-resistant and built to withstand hurricane winds. They’re suitable for municipal buildings, storage facilities, and commercial exterior entrances. Windstorm doors and frames come in your choice of 16 gauge steel galvanneal or stainless steel with UL labeling and 22 GA Steel Stiffeners, and they’re constructed from continuous welded sheets with top and bottom spot-welded channels and can be installed into masonry or wood stud walls with 3/8 “ x 5” lag bolts. You can choose from 3’0” x 7’0” single-door opaque steel outswing steel flush doors or 6’0” x 7’0” opaque steel double doors with a label rating of +/- 70 psf.
