DP Series Doors are full flush design as manufactured by National Custom Hollow Metal and designated as:

DP Series Doors are full flush construction and conform to Commercial Standard CS242-62, Product
Standard PS4-66 and Federal Specification RR-D-575C.

Specify as required:

1. Prime quality cold-rolled steel in accordance with ASTM A366.
2. Galvanized steel in accordance with ASTM A525.

DP Series doors are internally reinforced, stiffened, insulated and sound deadened by a permanently laminated
(bonded) solid slab of expanded polystyrene foam core on the inside of each face skin. The complete unit is closed with 14-gauge steel, perimeter channels, spot-welded at 8" on center. Doors have square edges with exposed full height hairline seams. (When required, we can furnish doors without vertical edge seams.)

We mortise and reinforce our doors with 3/16" hinge tap plates. Lock reinforcings are 16-gauge box-type.
Closer reinforcements are 12-gauge when required. We provide other hardware reinforcings as required.

National DP Series doors are thoroughly cleaned and finished as standard, with one coat of rust-inhibitive prime paint. Our doors are individually crated.

Doors conform to Commercial Standard CS242-62

RR-D-575C.

Vertical reinforcements are 6" on centers and spot-welded to each face skin. On labeled doors, all spaces
between each reinforcement are sound deadened with .6 pound density mineral wool batts (fiberglass insulation).

Doors have square hinge and lock edges with visible edge seams.
(When required, we can furnish doors with edge seams welded, filled and ground smooth.)

We furnish our doors with Underwriters Laboratores, Inc. or Warnock Hersey certified labels where required.
