NCHM lead lined doors are available in 16, 14 or 12 gauge galvanneal or 16 and 14 gauge staineless steel construction with a continuous sheet of lead from 1/32" thick up to 1/8" thick, laminated to door skin and a sheet of high density polystrene. The lead sheet extends the full width and height of the door. Lead thickness is to be equal to the shielding in the adjacent wall.

Lead line doors can be built at 5'0" x 12'0" with 1 1/6" lead and 5'0" x 8'0" with 1/8" lead. Due to their weight and constructions, these doors require hardware specifically designed and manufactured for this application. The perimeter of the door has continuous 14 gauge channels reinforced and/or prepared.
